What I loved about Eleanor and Park is that she wanted him as much as he wanted her. . . when I was a “young adult” the sex always seemed to be about about a girl “giving in” or whatever, and never actually wanting sex.

That was something I loved about Eleanor and Park, though it did have some heaving bosoms, the writing about teenage sex was pretty fresh, I thought (as in fresh, not as in using-dated-slang-to-sound-cool).
