I must be the only person who watches the show who wasn’t jazzed about the Don & Joan scene. It felt very old to me, like a last hurrah.

I will never tire of Peggy. She is my favorite character. I do agree with you about the balance, but not about Betty. I’ve never been a Betty fan and now they’re just making her a sort of whipping-post for everything. It’s like. . . what more could go wrong for Betty. It’s like the writers have the same disdain for her that I do and that just feels weird.

At this point though, I am forgiving Mad Men for a lot of sins simply because of that Joan and Don scene from this week. Damn that was awesome. Almost as awesome as Megan.

I think Lane is awesome, and he doesn’t get enough screen time. I’m kind of tired of Peggy, though I will admit there was a time that I could have made a convincing argument that the show was her story. That’s not the case any more. My major disappointment with this season is I think the show used to be better at balancing all the characters on a weekly basis. Now they focus on a few at a time. I never thought I’d suggest that the show needs more Betty, but here we are. Needs more Harry, too. We agree about that. We agree about Megan too. She’s awesome.

I hadn’t thought of Lane, but that would make a lot of sense. Callous as this is, I’d rather see him go than anyone else. Even the relatively new Ginsberg. Lane kind of heebs me out.

I love Harry. I wish they’d give him more story and also Peggy. . . she’s fading to the background and that sucks. She needs some more stage time.

How do you feel about Megan? I kind of love her so far.
