You’re too old to be using “yucky” as a pejorative descriptor. And way too old to use it repeatedly. Chrissie Hynde told her truth and it wasn’t all pretty. It’s not her fault that her life didn’t meet your narrative.

I agree. Her writing comes off as helpless and even pathetic. I’m no longer mesmerized by her image. And if you were to argue with me that women in rock seem to carry with them a stereotype of strength, I can vouch that Chrissie’s tellings are depleting and uninspiring rather than honest and appealing. It’s too much of a tell-all. No, I didn’t expect her to be somebody I’d made in my head, but she comes off as having a very dissappointing, sad life. And that part about not believeing love is forever anymore? I can’t tell if she was genuinelt dark or being edgy.

Even her interviews seem underwhelming. Who is Chrissie Hynde? Passive-aggressive and always angry like she wants us to believe? Or meek and lousy like she was dealing with that jerk who wanted to kiss her on some radio show in the 90s? Chrissie, make up your mind instead of spewing TMI
