I haven’t been there (yet), but I have been to the Country Music Hall of Fame, which was amazing. I don’t know if they have the same sort of hinky criteria and babyboomer voting board, but the place was aces.

I burst into tears seeing some of Woody Guthrie’s handwritten lyrics. The place was amazing, and I can only imagine the RRHOF is kind of the same — at least I hope it is. And yeah, seeing the ‘Mats there would be awesome.

(Despite being from Ohio, it was the first time I’d been.) While for the record I remain skeptical of the HOFfor the same reasons outlined in the Salon piece (or at least what I’m assuming is in the Salon piece because I only skimmed it), when you it came right down to it I was pretty jazzed to see bands I like that were represented. So yeah, here’s hoping the Mats make it in.
