I used to be one of those sheeple who read everything by an author I adored (did the same with buying records by bands I liked), but it came to the point where the newer, crappier were sullying the books I’d loved. So I stopped (not buying them, just reading them).

I’m happy that this site has introduced you to authors under your radar. It’s really hard for authors to find new readers and if I can get ’em a couple that’s pretty swell.

(p.s. the people in my bookclub who had read Dan Brown before thought this one was okay-ish, typical Dan Brown is what they said.)

Not all genre-fiction is crappy, and even if you do read the crappy stuff at least you read. We all have our literary junkfood like I said mine is rock & roll memoirs/biographies. I can’t seem to resist them at all. I’m reading Linda Rondstadt’s memoir now and I have no particular feelings for her, but I am curious as hell.

I read more sci-fi and fantasy than I care to admit. But it’s fun – like watching/enjoying that reality show you would never admit to watching/enjoying.

In fact, I think the last couple of Brown’s novels left something to be desired. Because I am one of those sheeple who are obsessed with a particular author, I’ll try to stay with it. I really do respect many of your literary views. This site alone has introduced me to many writers under my radar. I feel much richer for it. For this I can only bow with a very heartfelt THANK YOU. I have been warned, but I am still reading it.
