@Amanda, thanks for the link. I’m so so so glad that people who aren’t who aren’t white, male, comicgeeks are writing about the book and bringing to light some of its problems.

I have to admit that until I started finding reviews like this one you link to, I had never even heard of the Orientalist tradition and what it means. So if nothing else, Habibi did educate me on that.
