Oh … and because I don’t want to be like a selfish lover who takes all your book reviews and gives nothing in return, please check out Micah Walk. His new album, “Bright Side Fantasy,” is available on iTunes. He’s a local guy who has moved onto Chicago (from Springfield, IL), and I really think you’ll love him like I do. It’s a great album — sure to be the soundtrack of your summer. It’s always exciting when a local is this good. And it doesn’t hurt that he’s cute, too.

So if you look at the acknowledgments of Nick & Norah, the first one is for Allison. That’s my own editor. She got to go to the set and MEET Michael Cera. She says he’s totally a nice guy and loves tall women. OK, I made up the second part.

I was disappointed in the movie, though. You can skip it.

Makes you wonder what else FB knows about you. If it starts suggesting I should drink less and exercise more, I’m calling the FBI.

On another unrelated note, I finished Middlesex, and while I love-love-loved it as a whole, I thought the ending was subpar. Now I’m into Edgar Mint and loving it. I started a book about a woman in a secretarial pool who marries a guy and has some kids, but it was going nowhere fast. Can’t even remember the name, but I think I heard about it here.
