take the word “said” out of this “silly poem.” It is not an absolutely important/necessarily integral part of this poem…take it out…Polly has taken the fun out of poetry. Nice Plato quote.

In lieu of an argument, I give you a WCW poem:

I have eaten
the plums
that were in
the icebox

and which
you were probably
saving
for breakfast

they were delicious
