Just me,
People who pay attention at their jobs often know when they are going to be let go due to a reorganization. Unless it’s a matter of incompetance, being fired is rarely a secret (and then it’s usually only a secret to the incompetant person).

Jodi, I think you kick ass for being proactive about the whole thing and making other plans so that if/when it happens, you’re ready to go. That’s what we all love about you here–you take your lemons, piss and moan about them just like a person would, then put on those big girl pants and make adult lemonade. Good luck in your hinted-at new endeavor.

not paranoid at all, really. we were acquired by another company, they are annoucing a re-org mid-january. i haven’t had anything to do at work in 2 months. it all adds up.
