i am not the mysterious poster from above, but i can suggest an interesting read: Drawing Down the Moon by Margo Adler. *special mention: the Discordians*

and just to keep it interesting, might I also suggest the following book by Joe Queenan: Red Lobster, White Trash and the Blue Lagoon.

The music is very cool, the books sound interesting, and anonymous posters suck donkey balls.

(I threw the last part in there to simultaneously raise your google percentile when people go searching for "suck donnkey balls" and to be my good ol' "creepy" self towards people who lack guts to post.

Note to dweebie; As far as your not so distant post directed at me. Yes, I have earned the right to the title "sanctimonious asshole" and wear the badge proudly like a medal of honor. Too many horns in this world are owned by people unable to toot them with pride. However, I still put my name and email address in every message* because a life lived in fear is a life half lived.)

* If not in the message, I put it in the following message.

Okay, I was all set to make scathing commentary about About the Author, but then there is a snotty comment right above me, and who wants to compound the unpleasantness. That said, About the Author disappointed me like I can't even tell you. I thought it sounded like the most excellent story, and it sort of is, but the style was so off-putting. Such a weird remove. Like reading a summary instead of a story. And he was so concerned with tying things up neatly that he didn't stray at all into anything interesting.

I read it about a year ago and I'm still feeling bitter.

Oh, and if you read the book Amazon recommends with it, Lit Life, and admire that, I will lose a little faith in you.

But more the most part, I'm okay with your musical tastes. Go Mats.
