one of the clerks at my favorite indie bookstore of choice showed me a copy of “the little friend” two days before it was supposed to go on sale. i was so distracted by that peek that i ended up buying it there, for full price, a few hours after the store opened for business on release day [last tuesday, for the record].

then i went to target a few days later and saw they had it mad discounted and nearly wept.

to top it all off, i STILL haven’t cracked it open since i have coursework to do and exams to study for. blaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah.

I found your site one day a few months ago when looking up “I will dare” lyrics by the Mats of course. Now I’m not sure why that is your url, but either way I found you. I’ve come back a few times and figured it was time to say hello. Then I read this entry and had to laugh because while amazon is amazingly great, there is nothing like instant book gratification. Ohhhh but yes there is a price to be paid for that need. Great site! 🙂

I too gave into the impulse of B&N today. It cost me almost $15 more than Amazon would have – and that was with the stupid “discount” card!!!!!!!!

You know people who live in Washington State like my self where Amazon is at have to pay both shippin AND sales tax. So that is why I almost never order from Amazon. That and I worked in one of their warehouses and it was not fun.
