I live in Manhattan, and when I tell people what I do with my time — which NEVER involves “clubbing” and other “nightlife” and absolutely NOTHING like what is depicted on “Sex and the City”, all of which I absolutely despise — invariably they say, “But you live in New York!”

Yeah? And your point is? I should go out and hang out with a bunch of poseur loseurs rather than stay in and do what I want to do, the way I want to do it? No thanks.

I love my life. It’s mine. All mine. I live only by my rules and on my terms.

You forgot to mention that you get on here and talk about yourself. Sometimes it’s mundane, sometimes it’s funny and sometimes it creates a yawning pit of sorrow and sadness inside your readers’ stomachs. But it always shows true courage of spirit. You may not think of it as conventional bravery, but there are thousands of people who lack the very gift you’ve taken for granted.

It’s that bravery that keeps people coming back and posting, even when they swear they won’t. It’s that bravery that allows you to fall in love. It’s that bravery that will make “The One” fall in love with you.
