the songs about sylvia plath, the poet who killed herself by sticking her head in an oven when she was 30 in 1963. . . . did he dedicate the song to BG?

I don’t think he played any songs from the first 5 Replacement albums except for Here comes a Regular, Skyway (forgot how the song began so sang the second bit twice), and Alex Chilton (He rocked… everyone sang along!)

Oh, he did invite the audience to come up on stage to sit on the couch… but no one did.

What is the song about the mother who ends up committing suicide and is zipped up in a bag?… that brought everyone down a bit.

I think he was on stage for about 2 hours, and ended the show with Jumping Jack Flash.

Sorry you had such a bad day at work… at least you should have the 4th to regain some energy.

I went to the Westerberg show on Monday night. It was so incredible… I loved the intimacy of the Guthrie and the set up of the stage! Yeah, he forgot several lines and could not hit all the notes, but he had such energy, a wonderful sense of humor and looked like he had a great time! He handed out a few sparklers and water balloons for the audience to throw at him (only one person dared to do so). It is hard to believe that he has not performed live in 6 years.
