Sorry to hear about that, Manz.

I was shot in the back with a .22 when I was 13. The "friend" was upset that I was taking a certain girl to the roller rink that night. Instead of having my first night out with a girl with "bumps," I spent it in the ER.

Back then, they didn't put stories like that on TV. They hid it away and didn't want to hear about it. Today, I would have been a local celebrity at a minimum. It's a good thing it happened back then; what they do on TV with stuff like that is messed up now days.

Well, it isn't on my face, but I have a scar on the inner part of the knuckle of the index finger of my left hand...I got it when George Kling threw a bundle of fiberglass insulation down the stairs at me and I wasn't quite ready for it, so it caused me to drag my hand over the end of a 2x4 and gashed it open. So what? Why do I remember it when you have to look fairly closely to even see it? Because two weeks later George was in a car wreck on a Saturday night at about 11pm. It was a hit and run in a lightly populated area and no one noticed the car in the ditch until about 10am Sunday morning. George was still alive when the first cop arrived, but didn't make it to the hospital. So I know where George is and what happened to him, but sometimes I wish I didn't.
