i finally updated my Amazon Sex Goddess column. i hate to admit this, but i’ve become totally numb to porn. pictures of people fucking. . . just doesn’t do it for me. nekkid breasts. . . *yawn* hard cocks. . . zzzzz. not a tingle, not a shiver. isn’t that pathetic? what does that say about me?

but i still have my words. words can still get me off. especially if it’s well-written. that’s why i will always love nerve. they have yet to let me down.

Pictures leave nada to the imagination which is why, I suppose, men enjoy pornography moreso than women. Men don’t typically “get it” when something is implied or suggested; what they best comprehend is something slapped in their face — something that is tangible, physically present. Show a guy some boobs and he’s as happy as a pig rolling in shit. Imply that the boobs are present, though he cannot physically see them, and he’ll be snoozing in less than 60 seconds.

Of course, I could be wrong. But, I doubt it. 🙂

carrie, i never doubt your rightness.

but i think maybe i’ve become detached. the nasty, cumshot and pentration pictures. . . those bore me but the blurry, black and white “erotica” i like them, but it doens’t arouse me. it’s interesting. the human body is beautiful, but i guess it only arouses me when i can touch it and what not. when it’s a possibility. you know?

Now, now. There ARE those of us males who find porn more than vaguely embarrassing, with all the fun, personal things about sex distilled out and the acts themselves spotlighted.

I think it has less to do with the pics themselves and more to do with the setup (or lack thereof) that makes it so unerotic.

You know, it bugs me when people make that kind of gross generalizations about men and sex. I happen to like some visual porn, sure, but I spend far more of my (ahem) non-productive hours reading and writing erotica than I do watching badly lit humporama. Does that make me less male?

not at all, but it does make you more likely to be nagged for stuff i can post to amazon sex goddess.

so you got any good links you wanna share?

Hmm, I did state “Men don’t typically…” Typically. There are those who are not typical and I do contend that males who prefer erotica are not typical of their gender. They are not less than men, they are simply not one of the herd.
